The Ferry Shop
The nearest place (one mile) for all essentials, including Post Office. It also has a souvenir, craft and book shop. Round the back is Mica Hardware (same ownership) with a range of hardware items and fishing tackle.
Cash Machine (ATM)
There is a cash machine at the Ferry Shop in Fionnphort, available during shop hours only. It accepts most credit cards, and UK bank cards. It also accepts some personal overseas bank cards (but there are sometimes problems). There is no charge for transactions at this machine.
Bunessan
In Bunessan (five miles) there's a small but well stocked Spar shop (with Post Office). Also a gift and fishing tackle shop 'Fingal's Cave'.
Iona
Iona has a well stocked Spar shop and many small gift and souvenir shops. The Abbey Shop is particularly good for books with local interest.
Pennyghael
Pennyghael Post Office and shop at Kinloch (17 miles) has now .closed. The shop is moving to the Inn at Port nan Gael (adjacent to the camp site).
Craignure
Craignure (36 miles) is the main ferry terminal. There is a well stocked Spar shop, a Chocolate Shop and two cafés (opening times variable).
Salen
Salen (45 miles), on the route to Tobermory has an excellent Spar shop with Post Office.
Tobermory
Tobermory (59 miles, allow 1¾ to 2 hours each way) is the 'capital' of Mull. It has several good shops, including a Co-op, an iron-mongers, and a branch of the Clydesdale Bank with external ATM. You can also visit the distillery!
